Airtel Money revises its Per Transaction Limit to Sh250,000

Airtel Money Kenya Limited, a leading mobile money services provider in Kenya will revise its per transaction limit to KES 250,000 from the previous KES 150,000 per transaction. This will be effective from 1st September 2023.

The change in the per transaction limit comes after successful engagements with the CBK and against the backdrop of the recent review of daily transaction limits from KES 300,000 to KES 500,000.

Transaction charges for this band shall remain similar to those that were previously charged in the KES 70,001 – KES 150,000 band. With the increase of the per transaction limit, Airtel Money customers will experience convenience as they will not have to go through the hassle of breaking large transactions into multiple smaller transactions.

That signifies our commitment towards convenience and affordability,” said Airtel Money Kenya MD Anne Kinuthia-Otieno on the announcement of the revised per transaction limits.
