Kingdom Bank Opens New Tom Mboya Street Branch to Boost Access to Financial Services

Kingdom Bank has expanded its footprint in Nairobi with the opening of a new branch along Tom Mboya Street, strengthening its strategy to increase access to financial services within the city’s fast-growing commercial hub.

The branch, situated on the ground floor of Nature House, is expected to serve a wide community of professionals, traders, and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that anchor the capital’s urban economy.

Tom Mboya Street is one of Nairobi’s busiest business corridors, home to retail centres, office complexes and hundreds of small traders whose activities power the city’s daily commerce. Kingdom Bank says the new outlet underscores its commitment to supporting the people and enterprises that drive Nairobi’s economic activity.

Speaking during the launch, Kingdom Bank Managing Director and CEO Anthony Mburu said the institution’s growth strategy is centred on providing tailored banking solutions for MSMEs.

“At Kingdom Bank, we recognise that no two businesses are alike. Each entrepreneur has a unique story, a different set of challenges and ambitions. Our approach is not one-size-fits-all—we design financial solutions that are personal, flexible and truly responsive to individual business needs,” he said.

Mburu encouraged entrepreneurs along Tom Mboya Street and surrounding areas to view the bank as a long-term partner in their growth.

“We are here to walk alongside MSMEs, providing not just banking services but partnership, understanding and shared growth. We invite traders, professionals and entrepreneurs to join us and let us be part of their journey as they build the next chapter of Nairobi’s enterprise story,” he added.

The new branch will offer a full range of personal and business banking services, including personal loans for salaried customers, business loans such as working capital, asset financing, stock financing, and Faidi Dada—Kingdom Bank’s flagship loan product tailored for women in business. It will also provide efficient payment collection solutions to help MSMEs manage daily transactions seamlessly.

In line with the bank’s customer-centric model, the Tom Mboya branch has been designed as a convenient service point offering responsive support and tailored financial solutions suited to the diverse needs of Nairobi’s commercial community.
