Tecno Camon 20 Set for Kenya as Pre-Orders Open

Tecno has unveiled its four-member Camon 20 series, featuring Camon 20 Pro, and Camon 20 Pro 5G.

The three phones feature a 120Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED display and a similar design with an unconventional back camera island.

Camon 20 Pro 5G is one of the first devices to use MediaTek’s new 6nm Dimensity 8050 chipset, which is essentially a rebadged Dimensity 1300 from last year.

Camon 20 Pro devices are powered by a 6nm Helio G99 SoC, whilst the standard Camon 20 is powered by a 12nm Helio G85.

All the three phones come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The similarities extend at the back, where all three Camon 20 series phones include 64MP main cameras as well as 2MP macro shooters.

The Pro 5G model has OIS and a 2MP depth sensor on its main lens, while the other two have QVGA modules behind the third lens.

The Camon 20 Pro and Pro 5G have optical fingerprint scanners built beneath the screen, whilst the Camon 20 has a side-mounted scanner.

In all situations, you’ll receive Android 13 on top of Tecno’s HIOS 13 with an IP53 grade for limited water and dust protection.

The phones are powered by 5,000mAh batteries that support 33W charging.

Tecno 20 comes in Predawn Black, Serenity Blue and Glacier Glow while the 20 Pro and 20 Pro 5G are offered in Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin colors.

Tecno confirmed that Camon 20 Pro 5G will retail for $300 and will be available in Nigeria starting today.

The Camon 20 series will be available in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Southern Asia though exact regional pricing and availability will be specified at a later date.
