OPPO Reno10 vs Vivo V27: The Battle for the Ultimate Midrange Smartphone

The Kenya’s midrange smartphone market is rapidly evolving with newer and better devices entering the market.

The market segment has recorded a tough competition of devices with the entry of high performance Gadgets such as the OPPO Reno10 5G and the 5G Pro that were officially unveiled in the Kenyan Market a month ago.

Smartphones with curved displays usually remain exclusive to the high-end market segment.

However, Oppo is breaking the mold with the Reno 10 5G, that I will be reviewing in this article offering a visually appealing device at a more affordable price.

My review device for the Reno 10 5G came in silver grey, a colour that fits right into my life like many other men who are not for so flashy colours.

This device similar to the previous devices from Oppo is one that captivates with its aesthetics, that might have benefited from a dedicated design team striving to make them visually striking.

Well enter Oppo’s latest offering, the Reno 10 5G, which has so far proven to deliver high-end aesthetics and an enhanced camera setup at a more budget-friendly price point.

Ever since I began reviewing their products starting with the OPPO Reno6, I’ve developed a fondness for each subsequent release, each for its own unique reasons.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with every OPPO phone that hit the market.

This time, I have the privilege of exploring the Reno10 5G, a standout device that seamlessly combines class, aesthetics, and power.

The phone’s visual appeal is striking, thanks to its curved edges, a high-quality shimmery back cover, and a distinctive dual-toned camera module.

Its slim profile and lightweight construction only enhance its allure, making it comfortable to hold and effortless to carry.

Design

Just like the OPPO Reno 10 5G that I have been using, the V27 is a good device overall with both featuring curved displays that were previously a preserve of the flagships.

Both of the designs are beautiful in my eyes, the OPPO Reno10 is though lighter than Vivo Y27 which is not physically heavy either.

powerful enough for the average consumer, and what’s more, both cameras provide beautiful results and also lots of options for playing with filters and effects.

OPPO has always marketed the Reno series as a ‘’Portrait Master’’ so the company really put in a lot of work to give you the best smartphone photography experience.
