APA Insurance has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing grassroots sports through its continued support of the Runda Youth Sports Association (RYSA).
The latest sponsorship, valued at Ksh 1.8 million, forms part of APA Insurance’s 2026 investment and builds on a longstanding partnership that dates back to 2006. Over the years, this collaboration has grown into a sustained effort to uplift young talent at the community level.
Beyond supporting football, the initiative addresses broader challenges that often limit access to opportunity. APA Insurance contributes by covering league fees, supplying quality kits and equipment, and providing technical support—ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of promising athletes.
The partnership also opens doors beyond the pitch. Through internship programmes and employment opportunities within the Apollo Group, beneficiaries are able to translate skills gained in sport—such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience—into viable career paths.
For close to two decades, APA Insurance’s involvement has gone beyond sport, evolving into a meaningful platform for youth empowerment, personal growth, and community development. Today, the programme reaches and supports more than 800 young people from Githogoro in Nairobi County.
