Samsung Launches AI-Powered Mini LED TVs in Kenya
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its 2026 television lineup in Kenya, introducing a new range of AI-powered Mini LED TVs as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the country’s premium home entertainment market.
The new lineup combines Mini LED display technology with Samsung’s latest artificial intelligence features to deliver brighter images, richer colours, deeper contrast and more personalised viewing experiences for sports, movies, gaming and everyday entertainment.
The launch also coincides with Samsung’s milestone of 20 consecutive years as the world’s leading television brand, reflecting the company’s continued investment in display innovation and connected entertainment.
Powered by Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, the Mini LED TVs transform the television into an intelligent home assistant, allowing users to ask questions and receive real-time answers while accessing content more intuitively.
The TVs also feature AI Soccer Mode, which automatically detects football content and optimises both picture and sound to recreate a stadium-like viewing experience.
For gamers and sports fans, Motion Xcelerator 144Hz delivers smoother motion with minimal blur, ensuring fast-paced action remains sharp and fluid.
Samsung said the Mini LED technology uses thousands of microscopic LEDs to provide more precise light control, resulting in brighter images, deeper blacks and improved contrast. Combined with AI-powered picture enhancement, the TVs analyse content in real time to optimise image quality for every scene.
Available in the M80H and M70H series, the new lineup is designed to make Samsung’s latest display technologies more accessible across multiple screen sizes.
Speaking during the launch, Sam Odhiambo, Head of Consumer Electronics Business Kenya, said the company remains focused on delivering technologies that enhance consumers’ everyday experiences.
“For 20 years, Samsung has led the global TV market by continuously innovating to meet the changing needs of consumers. Our 2026 TV lineup brings together larger screens, AI-powered intelligence and breakthrough display technologies to create more immersive and personalized viewing experiences.”
The launch reflects a broader trend in the television industry, where manufacturers are increasingly embedding artificial intelligence into consumer electronics to personalise viewing experiences, improve picture quality and create smarter connected home ecosystems.
Samsung said its latest lineup builds on two decades of innovation that has seen the company introduce technologies such as Quantum Dot displays, Neo QLED, Vision AI and Knox Security across its television portfolio.
The company also announced plans to expand its premium television offering in Kenya later this September with the introduction of its next-generation Micro RGB TV, which is expected to deliver enhanced colour accuracy, brightness and picture precision for high-end consumers.
The Mini LED launch reinforces Samsung’s strategy of using artificial intelligence and advanced display technologies to drive the future of home entertainment while expanding access to premium viewing experiences for Kenyan consumers.
