Global cloud communications platform Infobip has unveiled a new WhatsApp Business Calling feature, enabling businesses to make and receive voice calls directly within WhatsApp.
This innovation brings real-time interaction capabilities to the widely used messaging app, enhancing customer support experiences across the globe.
With this new feature, businesses can initiate and receive voice calls globally through WhatsApp’s native interface, allowing customers to stay within the app.
Calls can be launched via WhatsApp chats, interactive messages, or even through deep links embedded in websites and apps, creating seamless and flexible touchpoints.

Integrated with Infobip Conversations—the company’s cloud contact center solution—support agents can effortlessly switch from chat to voice while maintaining a unified conversation history and context.

The feature is now available globally and supports multiple sectors including retail, banking, travel, and e-commerce, offering faster issue resolution and lower customer friction.
Infobip has also streamlined operations by integrating billing and reporting with the WhatsApp Business Platform.
A standout feature is branded calling, where verified business profiles display the company name, logo, and official checkmark during calls.
This adds a layer of trust, improves response rates, and helps combat fraud. It also sets the stage for the upcoming launch of Infobip’s Branded Calling ID (BCID) solution later in the year.
With this rollout, Infobip continues to position itself at the forefront of secure, omnichannel communication tailored for the modern digital economy.
