CIB Launches Marketing Campaign to Boost Brand Visibility in Kenya

Egypt’s Commercial International Bank (CIB) has launched a wide-reaching marketing campaign in Kenya aimed at reinforcing its presence and promoting its financial services to businesses operating between Egypt, Kenya, and the broader East African region.

The campaign marks a strategic push by CIB to position itself as a key player in regional trade and finance.

It follows the bank’s acquisition of the remaining 49% stake in CIB Kenya (formerly Mayfair-CIB) in January 2023, making it the first wholly owned subsidiary of the Cairo-based lender in sub-Saharan Africa.

CIB Kenya is envisioned as a regional hub, with a core focus on trade finance, digital banking solutions, and facilitating the growing trade corridor between Egypt and Kenya.

The bank aims to support Egyptian corporates and SMEs looking to expand into East Africa, leveraging Nairobi’s status as a commercial gateway to the region.

The new campaign, which will run throughout the Kenyan spring season, will feature prominent out-of-home (OOH) advertising, including branded billboards in high-traffic areas across major cities.

These visuals aim to reintroduce the brand to the Kenyan market and spotlight CIB’s expanded service offering.

In addition to physical advertising, CIB is rolling out a coordinated digital campaign across social media platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn, alongside Google Search and Display.

The digital content, including bilingual and interactive formats, is tailored to resonate with Kenyan audiences and drive engagement with the CIB Kenya brand.

The campaign underscores CIB’s commitment to strengthening cross-border financial services and deepening its footprint in East Africa’s dynamic banking landscape.
