Property developers, engineers, and contractors in Kenya have new options for heating and cooling following the introduction of advanced HVAC systems by LG Electronics.
The company presented its latest chillers, air-to-water heat pumps (AWHP), and heat pump water heaters during a recent event in Nairobi.
The event, held in collaboration with Opalnet Engineering Company, drew more than 200 professionals from the HVAC industry. It focused on technological developments aimed at improving energy efficiency in both commercial and residential environments.
Among the technologies introduced were high-capacity chilled water systems capable of delivering up to 5,000 tonnes of cooling. These systems are intended for large buildings, such as factories and power plants, where reliable climate control is essential.
LG also launched its latest AWHPs and heat-pump water heaters. These systems are designed to provide an alternative to traditional electric water heating, with applications in both domestic and commercial settings. The technology supports energy conservation and can be integrated into a variety of infrastructure types.
Attendees at the event were presented with technical details and demonstrations on how the systems can be customized to meet specific heating and cooling requirements. Features highlighted included energy-saving capabilities, responsive controls, and adaptable design options.
According to LG representatives, the new products are intended to meet growing demand in the region for environmentally conscious and efficient HVAC systems. The company stated that it plans to continue investing in technologies that support energy sustainability.
“We are excited to launch our latest chillers and AWHP solutions here in Nairobi. These products reflect LG’s dedication to providing advanced, sustainable technologies that cater to the growing demands of both large-scale commercial and industrial projects as well as domestic heating and cooling applications,” said Barrack Onyango, LG East Africa’s HVAC Design Manager.
LG’s HVAC products have previously received recognition from the Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), including multiple performance awards over the past several years.
