Fresh off the launch of Kenya’s National AI Strategy, a groundbreaking initiative is taking shape – Worldwide Hack, the first cross continental AI hackathon linking Nairobi and San Francisco, is officially live.
Co hosted by Clutch Foundry and Worldwide Studios, this global effort kicked off with an info session on April 12th that brought together engineers, clinicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across disciplines.
The enthusiasm was evident as participants dived into how they will build real world solutions powered by low-code and no-code AI tools.
The hackathon itself runs throughout the month of May, with weekly Saturday hack sessions hosted at the Clutch Foundry house in Nairobi.
The culmination? A 24 hour main event where participants will build transformative health solutions targeting real world challenges.
Demo Day will give participants the opportunity to present their solutions and receive feedback from the community and mentors.
The initiative is guided by Nzisa Kiilu and Paul Mutemi – Founder and Co-Founder of Clutch Foundry, alongside Michael Raspuzzi of Worldwide Studios in the USA, who will help teams explore the cutting edge of AI tooling to rapidly build and deploy innovations that have impact.
