Samsung Unveils the Latest Galaxy Z Folds Perfected for Every Way of Living
Samsung Electronics has just launched their latest foldable flagship lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8, and is officially open for pre-orders in East Africa. Packed with the new One UI 9 software layer, this generation addresses long-standing enthusiast requests by delivering deeper hardware security, an actionable AI activity dashboard, hassle-free iOS migration, and native cross-platform file sharing directly out of the box.
System security takes a major leap forward with a dual-layer architecture engineered specifically for complex on-device processing. Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection creates encrypted, app-specific execution environments for Personal Data Engine tasks, isolating personal information from broader system processes. This works in tandem with Knox Vault, a physical tamper-resistant execution environment designed to shield cryptographic keys and authentication tokens from direct hardware attacks. To keep users informed, the new AI Assistant Activity Dashboard functions as a centralized telemetry hub displaying every automated agent action running in the background, allowing users to jump straight to individual agents to audit or revoke access. Meanwhile, real-time Privacy Alerts deliver proactive push notifications whenever a background application attempts unauthorized permission access.

Samsung has also systematically dismantled traditional operating system migration friction.
The upgraded zero-app Smart Switch utility enables complete iOS-to-Galaxy migration wirelessly using a simple QR code scan on the source device.
Smart Switch now handles complex data transfers natively, carrying over passkeys, saved credentials, call histories, custom accessibility configurations, and active eSIM profiles.
Furthermore, Quick Share now offers full, bi-directional wireless file transfer compatibility with AirDrop, allowing seamless high-resolution transfers between iOS devices and the new Galaxy Z lineup.

Pre-orders are live in Kenya across all storage and memory configurations. The line is anchored by the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, priced at KES 271,000 for 12GB+256GB, KES 297,100 for 12GB+512GB, and reaching KES 349,300 for the maximum 16GB+1TB tier.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 enters the market at KES 243,900 for 12GB+256GB, KES 270,000 for 12GB+512GB, and KES 322,200 for 16GB+1TB. For the foldable clamshell category, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is available at KES 159,200 for 12GB+256GB and KES 185,300 for 12GB+512GB.
