Zoho Unveils Zia Hubs to Unlock Value from Unstructured Business Data

Global technology firm Zoho has announced the launch of Zia Hubs, a new content intelligence solution integrated within Zoho WorkDrive, aimed at helping businesses unlock insights from unstructured data.

The tool introduces AI-powered capabilities—such as contextual understanding, search, and automation—across diverse content formats, enabling organisations to derive meaningful value from documents, videos, audio files, and more.

Speaking at the launch, Veerakumar Natarajan, Zoho Kenya’s Country Head, noted that unstructured data accounts for nearly 80% of business information.

“Most of this data lives in emails, social media posts, documents, and call transcripts. With Zia Hubs, we’re giving businesses the tools to tap into this information with deeper AI integration and greater flexibility than traditional platforms.”

Centralised, Intelligent Workspaces

Zia Hubs allows users to organise content into project-specific “hubs” within WorkDrive, giving Zoho’s AI engine, Zia, contextual access to a wide range of files including PDFs, spreadsheets, images, videos, and audio.

The AI can then group related content, generate transcripts from multimedia, and cite specific file sections when responding to queries.

For example, users can ask Zia questions like “What was discussed about pricing in the last Zoom meeting?” and receive a precise answer with links to the relevant portion of the video or transcript.

The tool also integrates with Zoho Flow, enabling custom workflows to automate document collection and organisation—whether from internal projects or external platforms like DocuSign, RingCentral, or Zoom.

From Smart Search to Smart Action

Zia Hubs is part of Zoho’s broader AI vision to move beyond assistive tools toward agentic AI, where intelligent systems act contextually across Zoho’s suite of over 55 applications.

Future updates will allow Zia Hubs to identify structured data within unstructured content and trigger tailored workflows based on business needs.

Potential use cases include legal teams compiling case files for AI-powered summarisation, or support centres using Zia to detect trends in call volumes and customer concerns.

Responsible AI with Practical Impact

Zoho emphasised that its AI models are developed without using customer data and are designed to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions without compromising privacy.

Zia Hubs will be generally available in Q3 2025.
