LG Launches xboom Stage 501 Across East Africa
LG Electronics has launched the LG xboom Stage 501 portable party speaker across East Africa. The xboom Stage 501 is designed to make music more participatory by allowing users to turn songs from their existing playlists into karaoke tracks.
Its launch across the region reinforces LG’s commitment to bringing innovative lifestyle technologies closer to consumers while expanding its portfolio of connected audio products.
Part of the xboom by will.i.am lineup, the Stage 501 builds on LG’s growing range of lifestyle audio products, which includes the xboom Mini, Rock, Grab, Bounce and Stage 301.
“With the LG xboom Stage 501, we set out to simplify how people enjoy music together by removing the need for dedicated karaoke tracks or complex setup,” said Donghun Lee, president, LG Electronics East Africa
“By combining powerful sound performance with AI that adapts to both the content and the environment, we are making it easier for users to turn any moment into a shared music experience.”
Turning Any Song Into an Instant Karaoke Experience
At the centre of the LG xboom Stage 501 is AI Karaoke Master, a feature that allows users to transform virtually any song into a karaoke track in real time. Unlike conventional karaoke systems that depend on pre-recorded vocal-free versions, the technology gives users greater freedom to sing along to music from their existing playlists.
Through its built-in AI Vocal Remover and Key Changer, users can adjust vocal levels and change musical keys directly on the speaker or through the companion app. This makes it easier for individuals and groups to adapt songs to their preferred singing styles and vocal ranges, creating an accessible karaoke experience without extensive preparation.
Powerful Sound for Every Occasion
Beyond karaoke, the LG xboom Stage 501 is engineered to deliver the kind of powerful sound performance expected of a dedicated party speaker. It produces up to 220 watts of output when plugged into a power source and up to 160 watts when operating on battery, providing room-filling audio for different environments and occasions.
Its acoustic system combines sound expertise from will.i.am with premium components developed by Peerless, delivering clear, balanced audio and strong bass across a wide range of music genres. Whether used for a gathering at home, an outdoor celebration or a larger social event, the speaker is designed to maintain an engaging listening experience.
Intelligent Audio That Adapts to Its Surroundings
The LG xboom Stage 501 also incorporates AI technologies that automatically optimise sound and lighting, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
AI Sound adapts audio output to the type of content being played, while Space Calibration Pro analyses the surrounding environment and adjusts sound performance accordingly. AI Lighting synchronises lighting effects with music, creating a more immersive experience that brings together sound and visual entertainment.
These features allow the speaker to adapt to different listening environments and entertainment preferences, ensuring that users can focus on enjoying their music rather than managing technical settings.
Designed for Portability and Versatility
Recognised with both the Red Dot Design Award 2026 and the iF Design Award 2026, the LG xboom Stage 501 combines a performance-oriented design with practical portability.
Its integrated dual-handle system makes transportation easier, while its versatile construction supports upright, horizontal, angled and pole-mounted configurations. This flexibility allows users to position the speaker according to their space, audience and entertainment needs.
The speaker also features dual-bar LED lighting, strobe effects and accent lighting on the control panel, creating a dynamic visual experience that complements its audio performance and adds energy to social gatherings.
Built for Extended Entertainment
With up to 25 hours of battery life, the LG xboom Stage 501 is designed to support extended listening sessions without requiring frequent recharging. Its replaceable battery design provides additional flexibility for users who want to keep the music going for longer.
Durable construction and an easy-to-carry form factor further enhance its suitability for both indoor and outdoor entertainment, making it a versatile addition to the modern home and social environment.
