OPPO launches Reno16 series in Kenya, prices start at Sh69,999

OPPO has today announced the availability of the Reno16 Series in Kenya, a new generation of smartphones designed to support creative expression, deliver more personalised AI experiences, and provide reliable performance for everyday use.

The line-up comprises the OPPO Reno16 5G and Reno16 F 5G, bringing together advanced imaging capabilities and intelligent, dependable performance. OPPO Kenya has also introduced the OPPO Enco Air5, designed to deliver immersive audio, intelligent noise cancellation, and long-lasting battery performance.

Creative Imaging for Visual Storytelling

Featuring a 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera with a 100-degree field of view, making it easier to fit more people into group selfies while enabling more dynamic perspectives.

On the rear, both models feature a triple-camera system featuring a high-resolution main camera with OIS, a Telephoto Portrait Camera with approximately 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide camera for greater framing flexibility.

Beyond shooting, the Reno16 Series expands creative editing with a new Create hub in the Photos app, bringing together AI-powered tools for more playful, personalized storytelling. AI Remix Collage lets users combine multiple photos or short videos into layered visual compositions with animated stickers, outlines, and text, and it even lets users extract moving subjects from Motion Photos or videos and use them as stickers.

Video creation is equally seamless across the Reno16 Series. 4K Auto Straighten Video helps keep footage level while walking or moving, while Dual View Video 2.0 introduces improved stabilization and enables seamless switching between rear lenses during recording for smoother and more flexible shooting experiences.

Powered by ColorOS 16, the Reno 16 series introduces tools that help users manage information, simplify routine tasks and access personalised assistance.

AI Mind Space serves as a central hub for organising saved on-screen content, making it easier for users to revisit useful information when they need it. The AI Snap Key provides quick access to this feature, allowing users to capture and organise information with a simple press.

For consumers balancing work, personal commitments and digital activities, AI Mind Space offers a convenient way to keep important information within reach. AI Bill Manager further supports everyday organisation by recognising and organising digital payments and physical receipts into spending records and insights.

The series also introduces AI Mind Pilot, which coordinates multiple AI models to provide assistance for different tasks. Users can access relevant AI support and compare responses side by side, offering greater flexibility when seeking information or working through everyday challenges.

The Reno16 Series is designed to support demanding everyday use, from content creation and mobile gaming to extended streaming and social browsing. Across the lineup, large-capacity batteries of 6,700mAh or more deliver reliable all-day power, while Reno16 F offers up to 7,000mAh for users who need even longer-lasting endurance during travel, festivals, or extended outdoor use. To further improve everyday connectivity, the Reno16 Series features AI LinkBoost 4.0 for more stable network performance in crowded environments or areas with weaker signals, helping reduce lag and maintain smoother connections during gaming, streaming, and video calls.

The series is also designed for greater durability in everyday environments, with IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings across all models. Splash Touch and Glove Touch further improve usability by keeping the display responsive even with wet or gloved hands.

Enco Air5

Offering 52dB active noise cancellation that adapts to the environment, with different reduction levels for a crowded matatu stop, a commute, or a quiet office. A 12mm dynamic bass driver handles the low end, and OPPO Alive Audio adds spatial depth to music and film.

Sound Master EQ includes three presents (Pure Original Sound, Mellow Vocals and Pulsing Bass) plus a 10-band custom equaliser. Calls use a triple-microphone array with AI noise reduction to isolate your voice in loud places.

Battery life reaches 13 hours of playback per charge and up to 54 hours with the case, depending on usage and settings.
