Samsung expands Care+ with discounted screen repairs for Galaxy users
Samsung is expanding access to its Care+ service plan in Kenya and other African markets, giving eligible Galaxy smartphone users a discounted option for repairing cracked screens and other accidental damage through the company’s authorised service network.
The service allows customers to access a subsidised screen-repair fee, with prices varying depending on the Galaxy series and market. In Kenya, the fee ranges from KES 3,139 for selected A Series devices to KES 15,693 for Z Series smartphones.
Care+ is separate from Samsung’s standard 24-month warranty, which covers manufacturer defects at no charge for two years from the date of purchase. While the warranty is designed for faults caused by the device itself, Care+ covers accidental damage arising from everyday use.
Under the plan, customers are eligible for one qualifying screen repair during the 12-month Care+ period, provided the device is registered within 30 days of activation. Repairs are carried out through Samsung’s authorised service network using genuine Samsung parts and trained technicians.
In Kenya, Care+ screen-repair fees are KES 15,693 for Z Series devices, KES 7,847 for S Series, KES 3,923 for A Series models from A32 to A73, and KES 3,139 for A Series models from A14 to A27.
Samsung is also offering the service in Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda, with the charges adjusted to each market’s currency and device category.
The discounted repair option could reduce the cost of replacing damaged screens for customers who would otherwise have to pay out-of-warranty repair charges. In Kenya, screen replacement for some A and S Series smartphones can cost KES 15,000 to KES 30,000 or more outside warranty coverage.
However, Care+ is limited to selected genuine Samsung smartphones sold with a 24-month warranty and does not cover grey-import devices. Newly launched Fold and Flip models are also not currently covered locally because they are not officially ranged in the markets with an applicable 24-month warranty.
Customers can register for Care+ online through Samsung’s Care+ platform using their device’s IMEI or serial number.
Owners of newer Galaxy smartphones running One UI 9 can also register directly from their devices through Settings > Warranty & Care. Supported models include the Galaxy S26 FE, A08, A18, Fold8 and Flip8 series.
Samsung directs customers requiring repairs or support to its authorised service-centre network. In Kenya, customers can also contact Samsung customer care on 0800 545 545.
The company says customers should register within the required 30-day period to qualify for the Care+ accidental-damage protection.
