When registering or verifying your Samsung Care+ coverage, you will often need to confirm your specific serial number (IMEI), and your personal details. Samsung makes it easy to find this information directly from your device’s settings.
Follow these four simple steps to locate and verify your device’s identity.
Step 1: Open Your Device Settings
First, unlock your phone and swipe down from the top of your screen to open the notification panel, then tap the gear icon. Alternatively, find the Settings app in your app drawer and tap to open it.
Step 2: Navigate to “About Phone”
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Settings menu. Tap on About phone (usually located right above the system updates section).
Step 3: Note Your Device and Serial Details
Inside the ‘About phone’ menu, you will see a summary of your device’s primary identification details. Make a note of these, as they are crucial for Samsung Care+ verification:
- Product Name: (e.g., Galaxy S23 FE)
- Model Name: (e.g., SM-S711B/DS)
- Serial Number: A unique alphanumeric code identifying your specific hardware.
- IMEI Number: Your cellular identifier numbers.
Step 4: Access “Software Information”
From the ‘About phone’ screen, scroll down slightly and tap on ‘Software information’.
On this page, you can verify your built-in security details, including your SE for Android status and your Knox version. (Note: Depending on your region and software version, active Samsung Care+ status or plan expiration dates may also appear at the very bottom of this screen or under the main About phone section).
By following these steps, you can quickly gather the exact hardware and software credentials needed to complete your Samsung Care+ registration or check your plan’s active status online.
