Kenya’s music scene is proving its global pull in 2025, with YouTube streaming numbers revealing the artists dominating screens — and speakers — across the country and beyond.
Afro-fusion sensation Sofiya Nzau has cemented her star power, racking up an impressive 168 million views, making her the most-watched Kenyan artist this year.
Her chart-topping collaborations and soulful performances have made her a digital powerhouse.
In second place is Bien, the Sauti Sol co-founder turned solo star, who pulled in 95.9 million views, while Willy Paul continues to command attention with 77.8 million views, proving his gospel-to-secular transition still pays dividends.
Ohangla king Prince Indah follows with 66.1 million views, riding high on his genre’s mainstream surge. Reflecting on his success, the singer noted: “Numbers don’t lie when the truth is uncomfortable, they speak louder than words.”
The top 10 list is a mix of solo acts and groups, showcasing the diversity of Kenya’s musical exports: Otile Brown (63M), Msanii Group (59.8M), Sauti Sol (54.8M), Guardian Angel (50.4M), rap collective Wakadinali (48.4M), and Kamba Benga maestro Katombi Kasau (41.2M).
